I thought Rory handled it fine. He said he understands and actually likes the banter with the crowd in between shots - just like happens when they are the 'home' team. He simply asked that fans respect the time honored practice of being silent for the actual shot. Seems reasonable.

(A). Don't equate a crowd mostly from Long Island, NY with "Americans." Being an A-hole is normal in that area.

(B). Continuous noise is one thing, but someone screaming at you while you are attempting to putt is something else. If you have paid a king's ransom to go to a golf event, you should know the basic courtesies of the game. McElroy was fully justified in reacting as he did.

(C). The Euro lead is 100% the result of luck in putting. Putting is at least 25% luck, all the time.

(D). Today's matchups should be entertaining in the extreme...for a golfer.
