I'm not mad at her for this.

This is outrage for the sake of being outraged.

I've used the word and never made any connection to the word gypsy.

Looks like an honest mistake that she apologized for when she was made aware of the objectionable origin of the word.

Lesson learned for all of us GenXers.

Don't know how prevalent this saying "got gypped" is in the modern lexicon, but it was quite common in the 80s and 90s.

Only a leftist would care about someone using the word "gypped." While I enjoy watching the left eating their own, I really don't care, and it's not offensive -- except among themselves
