A dog was picked up by animal control in bad shape, mange, starved, but still had kind eyes and a wagging tail. The owners were tracked down through the microchip. They gave the dog away and heard it had run off. It was a brown lab. He went to foster care.
A man and his family were walking around an adoption event. Maybe they would get a dog maybe not. They heard a commotion down the way. A dog was barking frantically. Trying to get out of his kennel. The foster mom thought the dog might be having a potty emergency. She attached a leash to his harness as he pulled her along trying to run.
He saw this man walking with his family, ran up to him and started pushing him to the nearest pop up awning and tried to get him to sit down. Foster mom was apologizing as the dog, at the man's side began barking. The man had a seizure. His family was able to administer his anti seizure medication.
Someone put a trained medical care dog out on the street to die alone. A dog that can scent an oncoming seizure. Who would do such a thing?
Of course the dog was adopted on the spot.
