My answer! Trump did own the shutdown. Pelosi now owns it by refusing to negotiate the wall!

This is now the Trump/McConnell shutdown. The voters agree with Pelosi not Trump.

Shut down the government until the money is approved for the wall. Enough of this. You guys just as an example support single mothers with multiple kids and multiple fathers. For decades. You destroyed the hetero family structure. Which is difficult enough without help. Who cares about the shutdown blame. Just let it continue. And then start removing government jobs. and the build the wall. And then start giving the sucker workers not privileged a real break in taxation.

The death and drugs problem is not being caused with a "weak border", and voters already understand that Trump is lying to them so he can get a "win". While Trump is going on about border security, 14,000 people died of opioid abuse. Closing the southern border, even if closing that border meant no drugs go in, will do almost nothing to stem the opioid deaths.

You should keep telling yourself whatever helps you sleep. The rest of us will keep insisting on better border security to curb the problems you clowns like to ignore.

Especially when it is the truth. Just keep it up and continue to destroy yourselves.

Donald Trump wants a wall. Nancy Pelosi doesn't want to give him one. Is this a sincere policy difference or just political gamesmanship?

I cannot vote because you do not have an "all of the above".

Both sides are playing a stupid game with the lives of 800,000 people living without a paycheck.

Trump had two years of full control of both the house and the senate to work on his wall and he never pushed very hard for it...but as soon as the Dems win the House it is the only thing that matters.

The Dems will not even give in on the fence they supported for 20 years, so they too are ******* over those people.

The Dems offered $25 billion for a wall in exchange for DACA nearly a year ago. The fact is that Neither Senate Republicans nor Donald Trump thought it was important until the Rush Limbaughs of the world goaded him into this. If this was that important then why did he have to be goaded into this. The Dems have to stand firm because if they give in then he run over them every year. Dems have to protect the power of the purse that the House has. Congress has ceded too much power to the Executive Branch and it has to stop.

You better talk to LBJ! That was 55 years ago. That angle is gone.

It was about 13 months ago that Democrats offered a compromise of $25 billion for the wall in exchange for DACA. You go talk to LBJ and show him what a idiot you are.

We do not know everything in that 25 billion dollar wall in that bill if true. And there are estimates of up to over 20 million illegals here. Remember, our politicians have sold out. President Obama said it is okay for men to wear dresses in public bathrooms with little girls in them. Be happy. We are still moving left no matter who promotes conservatism. You have won.
