For those who think the servant of Isaiah 53 is the house of Israel, and that you will not be a Christian if you read other chapters of Isaiah, this video sermon shows that the suffering servant does not represent the whole house of Israel but shows that It could be a single servant within the house of Israel or Jesus the Christ:

Why are you continuing your propaganda these questions have been answered on many threads throughout this board go look at the results if you have questions..Unless you are nothing but a parot regurgitating past nonsense… Does Polly want a cracker or is Polly just good for putting the kettle on and repeating mistaken and faliscous arguments over and over again ..

I once wrote a paper about Chapter 53 in my "Isaiah" class at BYU. Victor Ludlow was the teacher who has written books on Isaiah. I kept it simple focusing on the pronouns. I read some writings on Isaiah 53 by Jewish Rabbis (I myself is a convert from Judaism) that said this servant is any Jew who runs into problems and is attacked and beaten. Sort of the same idea of the Rabbi in the video that the servant is all the people of Israel. He liked my paper but also wrote on the paper to have patience and tolerance with the Jews who don't believe the same as we do.

This is what is hard to explain

He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b]
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin,

Why would God want to crush an innocent man? There are no other examples in scripture of this other than Jesus going to the cross.

Most likely lost in the translation, it isn’t the Lord crushing (killing) Jesus. It was God’s will that he would be allowed to be killed for our sins if we repent. We aren’t servants of the Lord God is we haven’t repented and believe in Christ.
