WHO has palm trees in the garden?

I have two palm trees but I bring them inside over the winter

I used to at my previous house. Not at my current home. When I landscaped this one, I wanted to avoid persons knocking at the door with offers to trim them. Plus, I wanted only trees that provided shade.

palms aren't supposed to be trimmed it causes more harm than help to the tree. But people insist on doing it.
