White Teacher Under Fire For Singing 'Monkey' Song On Black Boy's Birthday

What does it matter if it was in this country or in another? History means in he past. It no longer exist. If my great, great, great, great grandfather was jailed improperly, what right do I have to ask for retribution for that act? How has that effected me and my ability to succeed?
It matters because we live in America, and this happened in America. I really tire of whites using the argument you use. This is not about your grandfather. It is about you and others who continue practicing the same racism today.

For example?

How do I practice racism today? By not agreeing with you?
Why do whites ask these kinds of disingenuous questions?

Whites benefit from racial preference RIGHT NOW! So allow me to repost a confession made by Flash, not in 1920, but in 2020.

“I can say for sure that happens because I did it. Before retirement, I was an Engineer. For the last 20 years of my career, I was a Manager and Director and I hired hundreds of people. I reviewed well over a thousand resumes for all kinds of positions. Everything from Secretaries to Engineering Managers. Both Salary and Hourly. I always culled out the resumes with Black Ethnic names.

Never shortlisted anybody with a Black Ethnic name. Never hired them.”

Since the Fortune 50 company I worked for had a stupid “affirmative action” hiring policies I never mentioned it to anybody and I always got away with it. A couple of times I was instructed to improve my departmental “diversity” demographics but I always ignored it and never got into any trouble. My stereotype is that anybody with a stupid ghetto Black ethnic name is probably worthless. I could have been wrong a couple of times but I was also probably right 99% of the time.

Glad I did it. I would do it again.”

And do not tell that lie about how this is the only person doing this because you either have done it, or you have seen it being done. Who do you guys think you're fooling? The laws say you can't discriminate based on race, so you don't do it openly like during Jim Crow. And because you don't, then you think you can ask questions like the ones you ask, because after all, there are no blacks need not apply signs. Instead, blacks can apply, which makes it look like you're abiding by non-discrimination laws, but blacks just don't get hired.

This is how white racists have played the game ever since the Civil Rights Act was passed. It is why black unemployment has remained double that of whites 60 years after the Civil Rights Act was passed.

Who is responsible for racism and discrimination in THIS country? You are a Trump Humper, so you don't support policies that benefit every race. Sure I do, that's why I don't Republican.
More lies. I despise Trump. What policies do I not support that benefits every race? You make up bullshit because you don’t know the truth.

You acused me of being racist. I'm asking you what I've done to have that reputation?

Just curious, do you think someone named Cleetus or Cooter would be as likely to get interviewed for an engineering job as someone named John?

Germans that weren't involved have been paying for decades.

Not to the heirs, with the exception of a surviving spouse.

“Only survivors (with a few minor exceptions for widows and widowers) are entitled to payment, not their heirs.”

“Other heirs, including children, are not entitled to receive any payment [in the Hardship Fund, Article 2 Fund, CEE Fund, Child Survivor Fund]” unless very specific conditions are met."

Those conditions are if the original claimant had applied and been approved while alive, but then died before receiving payment, heirs might be eligible in certain funds. But the rules are narrow (e.g., only spouse, or children if spouse is deceased; only under certain funds).

"Because the number of living survivors is diminishing with time, many of these funds emphasize direct payments to survivors, not descendants."

Remember, we are also talking about something that took place about 80 years ago, not 160 years ago(slavery).

Your posts. You make the same dumb white supremacist argument about being blamed for the past. There are all kinds of evidence showing how whites circumvent the law relative to non-discrimination. Now I'm going to post this story for the millionth time. Seems like this story doesn't resonate with you right-wingers.

I am quite sure no one living in 1980 was alive when the U.S. government made the Fort Laramie treaty with the Sioux Nation or were participants in Custers violation of that treaty. Nor were they alive when President Grant decided it was OK to let settlers and people prospecting for gold trespass into land promised to the Sioux thereby violating the treaty. No one in 1980 was alive when the U.S. government decided to take the land from the Sioux by military force. No one in 1980 was alive when the U.S. government decided to cut off supplies they promised the Sioux as a condition for their surrender after whipping the U.S. Army at The Battle of Little Bighorn. But in 1980, the government of the United States decided reparations were due to the Sioux Nation for what was done to them in the 1800’s. They awarded the Sioux nation 105 million dollars.

Let's not just stop at slavery, let's deal with the injustices after slavery. Jim Crow, Red Lining, stealing of property, stealing of inventions, denying black soldiers the right to VA Loans and the GI Bill after World War II and the list goes on and on.

In other words, because I disagree with you on the best way to move on from past indiscretions. That doesn’t make me racist. I don’t judge people based on the color of their skin.

In your case, you have a huge chip on your shoulder, so I wouldn’t likely hire you, not because you are black, but because of the chip. It sews discord in the workplace. I’m quite sure I am not on the only one that feels that way and I know you aren’t the only black person that has this chip. It isn’t a winning formula, but it also isn’t racism. It is realism. Just to be clear, I wouldn't hire anyone that caused disruption in the workplace, including a white guy that exhibited racial bias or had any sort of attitude that negatively affected his work or his co-workers work or the work environment.
