I have done the research. Nearly 100% of all COVID incidents are a result of PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS!!! In this case, I would bet my left nut that this guy had diabetes, which caused the amputation.

If he was diabetic and his respiratory function was compromised enough by COVID then yes COVID certainly can be the cause.

If his circulatory condition was compromised but still not on its own bad enough to cause loss of limb then it can be argued that COVID was the reason he lost his limb
