White Herons out back near our pond

We had two of these beautiful birds out back near the pond the other day. They were stunning to watch as they flittered around in the water that has overflowed around the pond.

I only saw the white ones only on that one day. They were a pair, hopefully they will nest nearby.

The next day the big Blue Heron was at the pond. The blue one is always by it's self when we see him/her and comes frequently to feed on the banks of the pond or down at the creek.
 
They're beautiful.

We get them all the time, especially when the pond is drying up. They're such lazy birds.
 
I used to see a lot of those in Connecticut when I lived there.

Herabouts I never see them.

Plenty of blue herons, but no white egrets.
