It has been an open secret that qualifications for many professions have been lowered.

In some states, it's very difficult to find teachers who have graduated from college and passed the state-mandated certification test. Result? Those states are simply hiring non-college graduates as "teachers."

Yes, if most people had their druthers, they would choose an Asian or Caucasian doctor. That is the problem with affirmative action. A doctor of the two other races might be very competent, but people are suspicious that they are affirmative action graduates.
