Saving Private Ryan
Troy
Braveheart
Gladiator

Which one is your fav and least fav and why

I am going with gladiator as the best

Troy as the worst

Gladiator because of the visuals is my favorite. But Braveheart is a close second, it would be number one except for the historical inaccuracies.

Troy is my least favorite, the visuals are good, but the story was lacking.

My fav would also be Glad, with SPR dead last. Braveheart Second but my REAL fav was "The Dam busters".

That's a very good movie too. I think my favorite would be "There’s is the Glory". About Operation Market Garden, filmed in 1946-47, starring the real people involved, and filmed on the actual battlefield.

The acting is terrible, as they aren't actors, but the visuals are the best.

Never seen any of them and have no great interest in ever seeing them .
Just not over interested in watching supposed grown up people being repetitively Stupid and Gullible on a mass basis .

I am over loaded in a few minutes every day just by the day's headlines --- today it is Nazisrael bombing Lebanon and Syria , the US bombing Somalia ( never any MSM coverage ) and our Gay PM , Sir Queer Harmer pretending to be a budding fascist .

I don't like war movies, but if I had to pick one, it would be Braveheart. Even though it's been a long time since I saw it, I remember there were some good scenes.

When gates of hell aka iron curtain opened and the VCR era stepped in we binge watched whatever the hell we could lay our hands on. Looking back and understanding what utter crap most of the time it was I can't fathom out how stupid we were. These days you'd have to pay or threaten me physically to make me watch anything coming from the West, to be fair though the same goes for domestically made shit. I would not watch any of the mentioned ones now but back then I can say I saw Gladiator and SPR with equal interest. Don't know much about Troy except maybe that Brat Pitt was there but remember the multi colored Mel Gibson from the Brave Heart running around like crazy on the medieval battlefield.

I haven't seen any of those movies.

Apocalypse Now was a good war movie. So was Inglorious Bastards. And the Deer Hunter.

I've not seen Troy or Gladiator, so I guess they get the least favorite :dunno:

Saving Private Ryan was good.

But I gotta say my favorite of options available is Braveheart.........I mean they literally showed their ass to the enemy, what's not to like?

I would call them more "Historical Setting" war movies, as all of them take some pretty big liberties with the historical record.

Of the 4 though, "Saving Private Ryan" is my favorite.

You should also have added "Kingdom of Heaven" as a 5th choice, but it would need to be the extended version.

Is KOH made up BS or is it accurate ??

All Quiet on the Western Front is my favorite war movie, the only one I immediately remembered as a war movie. And then I remembered some more: Johnny Got his Gun, Catch 22, and Slaughterhouse Five.
