Where do criminals get their guns?

It turns out that at least some of them get them from the cops.

Burglars broke into the home of a Richmond police officer last week, poisoned two of the officer's dogs and escaped with a cache of guns and other personal items, police said Tuesday.
"We're obviously very upset by this," said Lt. Bisa French. "One of our own was targeted in this attack, and we think he was targeted specifically because he was an officer."

What's with these criminals? Don't they know we have laws against breaking and entering, theft, etc.? Well, we have no choice but to pass even more and tougher laws. We'll show those criminals how damn serious we are about this stuff.
