Where Are You, Martin Luther King?

He also supported reparations and affirmative action, so unless you agree with those positions, maybe stop taking one sentence out of context and painting him as champion of a colorblind society.

Dr King was also advocating redistribution of wealth……a definite reflection of his conservatism

Well, of course, I do not know what Dr. King would think about the ethnic situation in today's America.

But I do have the feeling that the great Dr. Booker T. Washington would be appalled by the simply horrific behavior of a large proportion of today's African Americans. (Here in the Los Angeles area, a third rapper has just been shot to death in the last month. A woman was just assaulted by a fire extinguisher wielded by an African American. etc. etc.)

It is highly doubtful that Dr. King's dream will ever come true.

Where Are You, Martin Luther King?

A half-century after his death, Martin Luther King, Jr. is as revered as ever. But have we been following his example, or merely paying lip service to his ideas? Jason Riley, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, weighs in.

TheReaper says: Martin Luther King Jr preached that the content of ones character matters more than you color. He was correct. Today democrats preach the opposite. Their faux diversity is based on on color and not personal opinions. And character? A statue of George Floyd recently erected proves that they do not care one bit about character and they only care about color. Dr. was a southern Baptist preacher who preached Jesus. Today Democrats have all but killed Jesus in the public square. Today Dr. King would make a great Republican, and he would be horrified at his old party which now embraces sodomy and socialism and color over character.

Like you and the MAGAt-GOP ever admired him.

Apparently more than any others..................................
Could be. Maybe that's why far fewer white people get murder and get murdered. The value of life is invariably determined by culture. It should surprise no one that cultures of thuggery, regardless of other factors, give low value to the life.

We have that. Ghettos still here. Trillions and trillions and trillions spent. A whole government employee and government paying private companies' industry has evolved into a deep hole. Cops and Firemen just to start with a couple of homes as they play nursemaid to an immature government caused society within our civilization.
