Court hands EPA a victory in fight against mountaintop-removal mining | Grist

More massive deregulation from Trump may boost economic returns in the short run - but causes harmful consequences in the long run. What do you think?

I think you listen to too many Doomers and Gloomers. They have you scared shitless and nutty as a squirrel.

The fact that Tesla is getting away with it in the state of Texas should surprise no one.

The AG in that state is a criminal thug.

You really think the mining of Lithium is a clean process?
Or of any material that is used in so called Green EV's?
What do I think?
That you can only parrot hyperbole.

Every post you make with a device made from chemicals, metals, plastics and other assorted toxins kills another Polar Bear.
You post so much, you must really hate the Earth.

And it goes through a whole chain of other devices made from chemicals, metals, plastics and other assorted toxins kills another Polar Bear, and another, and another. When I hit "Post reply" this message went through 8 different servers before it got to usmessageboard.com., not to mention usmessgaeboard.com responding back to me through those servers. The whole process probably used enough electricity to power a small African mud hut for an hour.

All of which makes lackota the ultimate hypocrite.
If the bot really cared about the Earth, it would give up modern convenience to live a meager life on the prairie in a teepee like its ancestors did.

Here is what the horrible iron mining company did in Virginia, MN on the Mesabi Range with an open pit mine that was done with production...

They allowed it to fill with water, stocked trout in the new deep lakes, added trails, and made it a popular tourist destination for hiking, biking, snowmobiling and ATV's, drawing millions in revenue for the nearby towns.
Those Bastards!!!

This horrible scarring of the landscape is all over the north of the state.

Ah, you are a big fat liar and a hypocrite of the first order. Let's talk REAL pollution. Flowing out of your Dem cities like the Krakatoa eruption. We can start with your broke ass sewer systems that have repeatedly spilled hundreds of MILLIONS of gallons of raw untreated sewage nasty into rivers and oceans. So fouling the water with your filth swimming is banned so people don't get sick. Repeatedly breaking the very environmental laws you hypocrites passed. Now run away and hide scumbag!

I love it when Dems dare discuss pollution, bring it!

All this fucking fear porn is getting really old. You commies didn't learn a damn thing on Nov 6. You keep this shit up and POTUS 48 will be a republican, guaranteed.

.

The OP also ignores the fact that lithium is mined in typically arid regions and requires massive amounts of water in the process.
Some nice clean lithium evaporation pools in South America...

Oh well, if it's out of sight in a third world country it's out of mind.
Those feeling smug about their so called low carbon footprint are living in delusion.
