The primary theme of this thread is Catholic charities but this cuts funds to all non profits.

Council on Aging, YMCA, early learning coalitions, cancer research (which was stopped the other day) many programs that serve maga's, real republican's and dems. Oh, not to mention many nursing homes and assisted living facilities may be receiving funding from the Feds to keep them afloat.

It's funny how most don't see this as possibly a short term threat.

You all just don't realize how many millions of people are affected.

You know that there probably are some of these non profits that are just bullshit non profits. Take the YMCA for example, which the few we have around here are always packed. They charge a monthly membership of anywhere from a low end for a kid of $13 and as high as $50.00 or a family deal for $72 a month. Since the membership is so large here why should they receive any fed funds?

There are many legit non profits and I guess the Y is but if one charges a membership fee and have many member's they should not receive fed funds.
