What video editing program should a novice start with?

After buying a drone with a nice camera, I’m now looking for some ideas on vid editing software. Something that is free/cheap and easy to use for a beginner.

Any suggestions?

It's what I use. I bought the regular version but even then it wasn't that much money.

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I have OpenShot and it works fine.

The GF bought me a MacBook Pro 16 after some friends suggested I try Final Cut Pro. That program seems like it’ll be much more than I need.
