To Joe, politicking with the common rubes telling them platitudes of what they want to hear is just the necessary baggage that comes with the job whose only qualification for getting elected to a job that pays triple the national average, comes with far better benefits, and you get 20+ weeks of vacation off a year + other fringe benefits is to pretend you give a damn.

The case can be made that every group, every idea Joe claims to stand for, at one time in his past, he was frank about his contempt for that idea or group.
