Meritocracy and the Invisible Hand that Adam Smith spoke of in his book.Wealth of Nations. We are rapidly getting away from it so opportunity and civil liberties will greatly suffer around the world. It will be replaced with the Russian oligarch system as we currently have in Canada. This is just a philosophical question. Is there a goal for capitalism at all? Is it to maximize personal liberty or production? or is it to maximize well being?

LOL. Where to begin?Capitalism gives everyone a chance at wealth.
If you apply yourself even the poorest person can achieve success.
While socialism wants everyone to be equal...equally poor that is.
There's an old russian saying....we pretend to work because they pretend to pay us.
With socialism/communism there's no incentive to work harder because you'll still be paid the same.
I do have to point out there was a time in history when human trafficking was seen as business as usual.Capitalism is merely one way to address issues of goods, services etc in any society or set of societies. It posits the notion that negotiation between those who seek products or services or raw materials and those who may be able to fulfill those things will lead to the most effective way of providing for them.
It has more to do with being an effective system than it has to do with seeking any particular form of providing for liberty and freedom.
But it does incidentally serve the interests of freedom and liberty. You don’t buy an item by holding a gun to the seller’s head and threatening him to sell you a product. He doesn’t hold a gun to your head to compel you to buy his product, either.
Yes, yes, yes and yes. This is just a philosophical question. Is there a goal for capitalism at all? Is it to maximize personal liberty or production? or is it to maximize well being?
LOL. Where to begin?

"The Invisible Hand" Is the One Picking Your PocketMeritocracy and the Invisible Hand that Adam Smith spoke of in his book.Wealth of Nations.
profits, your freedumb doesn't matter. This is just a philosophical question. Is there a goal for capitalism at all? Is it to maximize personal liberty or production? or is it to maximize well being?
Non-profit equals deficit, debt, bankruptcy. Poverty shared by all.profits, your freedumb doesn't matter.
that was evil not capitalism,, capitalism demand voluntary participation,,I do have to point out there was a time in history when human trafficking was seen as business as usual.
The "freedom" is therefore not an intrinsic characteristic of capitalism but an amendment to it.
Like anything else, an economic theory can be abused and misused.I do have to point out there was a time in history when human trafficking was seen as business as usual.

Adam smith capitalism would result in monopoly with poverty for all. Total capitalism doesn’t have morals or ethical behaviors for either people or business.Non-profit equals deficit, debt, bankruptcy. Poverty shared by all.
Profits reflect efficiency and growth of investment. Profits allow for expansion and growth of enterprise. Profit reflects reward in proportion to investment and effort manged efficiently.
Those opposed to profits/free enterprise/capitalism tend to be ineffective, non-productive and greedy. Wanting to take form the productive others without earning such theft.
No, it doesn’t.that was evil not capitalism,, capitalism demand voluntary participation,,
"morals and ethical behaviors" result from personal choices and economic systems have very little "cause factor".Adam smith capitalism would result in monopoly with poverty for all. Total capitalism doesn’t have morals or ethical behaviors for either people or business.
See Pottersville
Slavery is the foundation of most socialism and communism systems. They also have prostitution, drug use, and violence(gulags). No, it doesn’t.
Capitalism is an economic construct that doesn’t include morals or ethics.
Slavery is an example of it. So would be prostitution, drug use and violence.
But that is the modern idea of capitalism. The same goes for other amendments: a safe workplace, 8 hour workdays, sick leave, and one day of rest per week. Those rights had to be established in laws, sometimes only after strikes and some bloodshed and others through (even bloodier) revolutions.that was evil not capitalism,, capitalism demand voluntary participation,,
China is a special case... It is not fully capitalist. For example state owned companies are responsible for about 40% of gdp. Most of the banking sector is state-owned. And the Communist Party of China is still ruling and calling itself "communist"... although the country is only communist to a limited extent."morals and ethical behaviors" result from personal choices and economic systems have very little "cause factor".
As for "monopoly with poverty for all" see your socialistic and communistic systems for that. Note how most do not have massive illegal immigration trying to get in, just the opposite.
See Russia, CCP China, Venezuela , etc.
no thats capitalism throughout the history of mankind,,, its never changed,, whats changed is the government forcing both employers and employees to work in a way they demand,,But that is the modern idea of capitalism. The same goes for other amendments: a safe workplace, 8 hour workdays, sick leave, and one day of rest per week. Those rights had to be established in laws, sometimes only after strikes and some bloodshed and others through (even bloodier) revolutions.
