This is why your system of checks and balances is so important. I care little what your political leanings are.

My personal opinion is that there should be alot more overlap between what Democrats and Republicans want to achieve, but there isn't. I will be bold and say that the far left, the Bernie Sanders supporters for instance; are less loyal to the Constitution and the spirit of the Republic system that you have, than say what might be considered the far right, the Tea Party. This is problematic, because this far left is rising through universities without a thorough enough appreciation for what their perspectives ultimately lead to.

This is why I really respect a guy like Rand Paul, though I don't firmly support all of his ideas, his understanding of the dangers of the debt, big government and unlimited powers of the state is accurate. Most Americans aren't even aware of what a threat such abuses pose to your very republic.

Here is another prime example. For 8 years progressive wailed that the federal government is the ultimate authority and that the President of the United States is the ultimate power of that authority.

And yet when the incoming president-elect makes the most basic of requests regarding a list of personnel, the left goes into a full on tizzy and refuses said request from the president-elect.

WTF?!? How do you refuse to provide the incoming president with a list of people on the payroll of the federal government?!? Hell....this is a department that shouldn't even exist. Seems like what goes both ways?!? You don't make any sense. His Executive Orders (which technically he did as "Presidential Memorandums" so that he could dupe his mindless minion followers when he says "I didn't issue that many Executive Orders) were unconstitutional. Conservatives called him out on that and were consistent.

Progressives meanwhile demanded that the federal government should have unlimited power and anything they do should be adhered to. But now, they are flopping completely. They demanded we obey the federal government when they were in power. Now, suddenly, they have the new position that they should resist the federal government.

Conservatives have had the same position all along - constitutional law should be followed, unconstitutional actions should be challenged (and disobeyed if necessary).
