  • Police Transport:
The term gained popularity as a nickname for vehicles used to transport multiple arrested people to the police station for processing.

  • Are they using them to clear up these so called protest by arresting the violent protestors, and then transporting them to facilities for processing and hopefully next to the lock up ?

  • There should be patty wagons that can transport at minimum 30 head every haul.

They were called PADDY wagons. I think because drunken Irishmen were a problem when police departments came along.

Most of the police were drunken Irishmen. That's why they were called paddy wagons. And they wore copper badges. Hence the terms "coppers" and "cops".

Learn the real origin of the term.

I am not a spelling nazi but it is Paddy Wagon...which the woke people labeled racist. Personally I loved it...since I am a Mack or is that Mick ?

They use them in Philly (without restrains) and you do not want to go on the nickel ride.

That would be Paddy Wagon and it could be considered an anti Irish racist term.

The term "paddy wagon" likely originated in the mid-19th to early 20th centuries, with one theory suggesting it refers to the Irish immigrants who were often police officers and frequently arrested. Another theory connects it to the derogatory use of "Paddy" as a slang term for Irish people, reflecting their overrepresentation in arrests during that time.

The term "paddy Wagon is a racist slur against white Irish people. The exact origin of the term "paddy wagon" emerged in the late 19th or early 20th century in North American cities. The most common theory is that it refers to "Paddy," a common shortening of the Irish name Patrick, and that the vehicles were named for the large number of Irish immigrants who were either police officers or prisoners.

But you're right. If President Trump's going to drain the swamp, we're gonna need some high-capacity prisoner transports.

I still have my Hot Wheelsâ„¢ Paddywagon from the early 1970s.

15th post
that might be worth some money today !

Mine rolls dead on balls straight too. I mean, if you pushed the thing across a 200 foot level smooth floor, I bet the thing would still roll ruler straight!

But I have another Hot Wheel that an expert tells me would be worth $50,000-$60,000 if I sold it, because that is what he paid to get his!

Why are you holding on to it? LOL

Why not? Apparently, there are only 4 or so known surviving models in the world, I guess mine makes 5? At any rate, I'm the original owner too and mine is in better shape than the guy's who paid 50K.

Yeah, I've got collections too. LOL, but they're only worth what you have in your pocket for them. IOW, the $.99 you paid for it
