What happen to money inflation in Argentina?

Inflation in argentina got so bad their currency collapsed into garbage. All your money wouldn't buy a stick of gum.
Then society collapsed. Everybody was starving. Marauders were out & about killing people for the scraps they may have had. We're talking mad max scenario.
I read a letter from somebody who lived thru it & survived. He credits a can of lighter fluid for saving his life!
He would fill somebodies zippo lighter & they would trade him a can of tuna...or spam. That's how he got food to eat.
It seems one of the most valuable things you can own in a disaster scenario is FUEL! Any type of fuel.

You just make sure that the Death rate increases .
Kill Demand .
Supply then becomes a decreasing problem .

Was there not bank run in Argentina?
I'm sure there were several...but what good is money when the currency has no value?
If a trillion dollars isn't enough to buy a hot dog...what good is money?
