Trump wanted unquestioned loyalty in a running mate. He has that for sure, but I really don't think he adds anything else to the ticket.

I read that he dated men when he was younger. I wish he would have kept doing that as we'd have a vp candidate married to a man on the republican ticket. for shame!

Trump was pressured to pick a minority for the VP slot. He did the right thing by not giving in. Selecting a white guy was the right thing to do to keep the base excited.
