The Pope is supposed to be the "Vicar of Christ" on Earth. Does it appear that the Pope is following the example of Christ?

Matthew 23:9-12
9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. 11 The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Revelation 22:8
I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

Nothing religious makes sense.

And I mean nothing.

Start at Asatru and end with Zoroaster , it's all silly claptrap.

It's a Catholic thing. I do not mind what Catholics do in their religious practices. I am not a Catholic.

Just a tradition showing respect to the OFFICE of the Papacy; Christ's Vicar.

Kissing the pope's ring is a centuries-old sign of respect and obedience to the Pope's office, which is represented by the ring, known as the Ring of the Fisherman. While Pope Francis sometimes allows the gesture, he generally discourages it, preferring to avoid the appearance of clericalism and the risk of spreading germs, a stance that has led to viral videos showing his hand being withdrawn from those attempting to kiss it.

The point is that the "Vicar of Christ" does not follow Christ's teachings nor his example.

Jesus was BETRAYED by a kiss; what better way to say (put in your own thought) than by kissing the ring that Represents the Office of Christ's Vicar on Earth?
