Most candidates form a platform and run on it. Trump did the opposite, ran on personality and populism and is forming his platform as he goes along. More like a businessman than a politician. Go figure.
It isn't much different than what obama did, hope and change was the running theme and lots of people ran out of hope and don't like the change so the stage was set for a Trump character to come along.
What kind of dumbass businesses do you run... There is a thing call a business plan... Most businesses need capital and to get that you need a business plan...
Obama had policies very early on... Obama reinvented the way to have that message clear and disciplined in an election... His grassroots using Social Media are considered to be ground breaking in world politics...
With all due respect, Ted...Barack Obama ran on vague promises about "Hope & Change" with very few specifics and what he was specific about quite often turned out to be total bullshit. He's been the penultimate "empty suit"...all image and very little substance!
Except this was his manifesto. Just because you didn't read it doesn't mean it didn't exist.

Actually Obama's 2008 campaign using social media had huge amount of issues covered. He used social media with voters and campaigners to keep everyone on message and to get feedback... This was groundbreaking and used quite heavily afterwards, Ted Cruz used this method quite heavily too.

Trump is just awful in this area and has been heavily criticised for his lack of detail... That is what turned off so many senior GOP members... He has the worse record in telling the truth than any candidate in history..
Most serious media are ranging his budget at being $10 - $12 trillion down on 10 years. Trump is no fiscal conservative, he not even close.
The latest estimates to his trade plans will cost 4 million jobs...
These are serious economists, Trump is just selling and there is a section that just want to buy... He is a snake oil salesman...
