I don't know about "special" but the model is hard to find in that age/condition for a decent price....I gave $300.00 for it.

Whenever I manage to complete this behemoth, I don't know where I'll display it...

Airfix 1/24 Mosquito Scale Build complete!

Looks like it took me about 500 hours. Fiddly kit. Lacking huge important bits of details and ranged from excellent to crap but I guess that's like all models.

Personally, I'd get the Polar Lights version...Something cathartic and satisfying about building one.

They are nice, but I can 3D-print a 1:350-scale Enterprise with a friendly black PLA and only have to worry about seams for light leaks.

Beside, I really need something creative to work on and I figure I should finish it around July or August.
