Was the capture of 15 British marines intended to trigger an international (and Muslim) crisis? Iran yearns for British withdrawal from the region, so that the USA becomes isolated.

They are trying to goad both the Brits and the Americans into a limited war like Israel had with Lebanon because they know the Democrats in Congress will do everything they can to sabatoge war efforts.

And once the US and UK withdrawl, they will have gained alot of stature in the middle east.

All because there are some Americans who would rather see us defeated than support their country. If we were united we could take care of the problem with little effort.
