"I need everyone to remain silent as the song desperado is playing."

Please.

No, a "cover" in musical context means I play and sing this song at Open Mic nights around town. I adapted the guitar to piano so I could play it.

Mike, hubby is plugging up to play now.

Damn, I realy hoped it was you. There's this Marc Martel guy who sings just like Freddie Mercury so I thought what the hell, what if we've got ourselves another one like him here on the board 😉

Some of my favorites include "Hotel California", "Take It Easy", "Take It To The Limit", "One Of These Nights" and "Heartache Tonight".
It was in 1976, I was on a bus on a one and a half hour drive home for a weekend when some guys turned on a portable tape recorder, which was a rare thing in itself in those days, and it so happened that the song that was on was "Hotel California". Had no idea who the Eagles were, let alone what the name of the song was but it blew my mind away. Love them since.

you forgot desperado! I have actually never bought an eagles album or listened to their catalog so likely many more good songs I have not heard yet

Below is my favorite album of theirs containing my favorites. If I were to pick my top 3, they would be:
  1. Take It Easy (have read that the incident actually took place not in Winslow, but rather in Flagstaff)
  2. Peaceful Easy Feeling
  3. One of these Nights
I absolutely hated Hotel California and would switch radio stations immediately whenever it came on.

Used to think that they'd never been to Winslow.

Because it isn't such a fine sight to see.

Then I realized it was the girl in the Ford.

Winslow still put up a statue of Frey in honor of the song.
