Tom Homan argues something he has said many times. In almost every interview I have seen him go through recently, he makes the point that in Sanctuary cities, his agents are forced to look for criminal aliens in neighborhoods, and other venues in which innocent people may be harmed by any violent attempt by the criminals to escape. In cities in which there is cooperation with ICE, criminal aliens can be arrested much more easily and safely in the jails.

Pam Bondi's DOJ is now witholding federal funds from so-called "sanctuary cities," and suing them. Huntington Beach, California just voted to stop calling itself a sanctuary city.

Even ultra lib Governor Kathy Hochul of New York is walking back her sanctuary policy and saying that "we want them out of New York!" (meaning criminal aliens, not ICE Agents, this time)

So, maybe they have listened to Homan's reasoning, even if it has not been talked about much.

I just don't see the counter-argument, so I invite any poster to tell me what it would be.

The argument hasn't changed. It will always be the argument that Trump is a racist. TDS is a reality and they just can't learn truth anymore.

A good social experiment for one of the "sanctuary cities," would be to round up all of the Tren de Aragua, MS-13 and other violent gang members in the US and instead of forcing them back to their own countries, fill up a selected sanctuary city and its suburbs with them, then wait, while blocking all roads out, so they have to live with the animals. Once they start begging, then remove them. You can guarantee they would no longer want to be a sanctuary city.

Sanctuary cities have hung their hopes on admin warrants vs. judicial warrants. Apparently, if a LE officer (ICE or CBP) stops a suspected illegal, the blue state sanctuary officials are advising those criminals to examine the warrant and if it isn't a judicial warrant, the are advised to be uncooperative as the admin warrant has no power. SMFH. I believe a LE officer can detain and jail anyone for three days on "suspicion"
