I went to my local gun shop this morning and a guy had brought in about 75 guns of various flavors. In the pile I noticed a ban era MAK-90 Chi-Com AK that was missing the stock.
These came into the US with a thumbhole stock.
I bought it for $200.00 and put a P-Grip on it. I'll pick up a butt stock tomorrow from a friend.
Being a Clinton "AW" ban gun (1994 by the serial) it also does not have the "evil" features of a bayonet lug or muzzle device.
They are still highly regarded for being pretty much of a tank in the AK world with a thicker receiver than the eastern block AKs. The bolt/carrier/bore is hard chromed.
Most MAK-90s had a slant cut receiver. The one I picked up has a straight cut receiver which is much more desirable as it makes the switch-over to a stock/P-grip a lot easier.
