I've got a new holster for my 1911. I used to carry in an iwb holster that has a flap that goes between the slide and the hammer to carry it cocked and locked, but this holster is uncomfortable. It seems after a while like I am carrying a brick. It's like this one:
Now I bought an Alien Gear tuck 3.0 like this:
Yesterday after fitting it to my pistol I started wearing it with the 45 in it. It does not have the thumb break that goes between the slide and the hammer, and it's difficult to re-holster once you pull it out. However, it is Very comfortable as the weight is more evenly distributed. I need to get used to it so I am carrying it with a loaded mag with an empty chamber. Just so I don't get caught stupid, while I carry it this way to become accustomed to it, I still carry my Ruger SP101 .357 magnum in my pocket. Weird huh?
