Here are some pics I got by hooking a webcam to a telescope, taking a video capture, then sometimes stacking the images:

nice! I tried that once but the webcam I was using sucked so it didn't work.

Strange. Did you take the lens off? I've never had one "not work" but image quality does vary quite widely.
