We are coming upon 20 years since the Great Tsunami that killed 250,000 in 2004...

It was Christmas day and it's likely that whatever constituted a tsunami warning system organization was on vacation. We won't know the the extent of alleged negligence because the federal government covers up it's own.

This was gripping and sad story of the Eathquake that caused a large Tsunami in 2004. This was a National Geographic series and tells the story of numerous families caught in the Tsunami.

The coast it hit was the pedo capital of the world. Most of the dead were kids and the pervs trafficking them.

I was in Malaysia when that happened! (Penang) I was there on my first missions trip, with YWAM, and we had just arrived a few days before it happened. The crazy thing is, we were supposed to be in Indonesia at that time... but our itinerary had changed. I remember finding out later that my family and friends were frantically trying to find out if I was still alive. My mom told me later that she was trying to get a hold of the YWAM base, and was besides herself until she was finally able to talk to someone and learned that we were all fine.

Where we were staying in Malaysia was at a higher elevation, so we didn't get hit ourselves...but we DID have the opportunity to help with the disaster relief.

Not far from where were staying, on the coast, all the houses were demolished. One of the things we did was dig through the dirt and debris to help families who lost their home find things they needed. It was a crazy experience, but believe it or not, at that time I didn't realize the magnitude of the whole thing. Because we didn't see the TV news reports, and where we were in Malaysia wasn't as bad as other places.

Later in our trip we went to Indonesia, but our pre-existing plans were to go to an orphanage and also to a village in the mountains, and neither of those locations were hit by the tsunami.

I used to have some photos of that trip, but those were on a computer I had a looong time ago, so I don't think I still have those photos... but now I want to look and see if I can find them somewhere, maybe in my website files.

I hope you're able to find them.

I read that Indonesian coast had no warning because it was a rare event. Initially they warned the pacific coast but removed it when they saw no danger.

What the hell is your problem.

You’re obsessed with pedophilia. It’s creepy.

A thread about the Great Tsunami, and you try to steer the conversation toward pedophilia. Jesus Christ….

Jakarta Jackoffs

Blame oil-rich Indonesia's Muzzie government for being too cheap to pay for a warning system in that area. Foreign lives are not America's responsibility.
