Ford is a dumb ass dweeb.. Carney should speak up though and say he doesn't speak for the PM

Carney told reporters on Monday that the US and Canada were close to a trade deal and were exchanging term sheets before negotiations ended.
"Then there were the ads, and everything changed," Carney said.

on Monday, Trump said: "I don't know when it's going to kick in, and we'll see, but I don't really want to discuss it."

Both Trump and Prime Minister Mark Carney are in Asia this week for the ASEAN summit, but Trump told reporters he had no plans to meet with Carney and won't be meeting with him "for a long time".

Unfortunately your real agencies (not the obedient knee benders such as which frequent here at times) know what Canada has been doing for decades. As such, Canada is in no position to fight the truth about what violations have been occurring here and what tampering in careers and Human Resource departments in U.S corporations has meant. Too many in Canada hate the civil liberties of their citizens more than they care about Canada. It is estimated that tariffs will cost Ontario alone 500,000 jobs. Our covert police state in every jurisdiction here is about to collapee due to this meddling as property taxes are bankrupting citizens, 4 million food bank visits in toronto alone, 80,000 homeless in Ontario with many more homeless to come as Winter arrives. I suspect America will follow Canada after Trumps term ends and your Constitution and economy will quickly be in ruins. They cannot blame me, I am just the Messenger

To make things worse, there's chatter that Ford threw Carney under the bus. :stupid:

They both defended their own decisions in their own way. It has not been a good look for Canada as they must know just whst details the U.S has alread. This isn't a fair "free market to free market" scenario and it is truly damaging our entire system and prosperity. Now the connotation seems to be that Canada will get closer to China which hurts us domesticaly and our relationship with America.

that's quite a message!

Seems like the CCP ran a similar ad earlier in the year. Canada is Red.
Really? When? It has hurt us for certain especially as the facade of being a fair trading partner tha supports human rights has long passed now. Many Canadians even doubt our system thanks to so many covert criminals. Only the most uninformed and a few compromised U.S agencies still blindly support the S.I.C here.

Someone had it on X, I forgot to save it.

The Prairie Provinces are great. The rest of Canada is a joke.

As I repeated on here and I knew Trump would not like these ads. It is akin to election interference without question at a time when Trump considers tariffs so critical to American national security (based on your debt levels and lost manufacturing, I would tend to agree) that he is considering sitting in on the Supreme Court decision.

As such, Scott, perhaps the sharpest mind in his administration and surely close to Trump, said the facts "Trump considers this election interference".

If Trump demanded Canada allow the U.S to run such ads here (our CRTC bans such ads from America just so you know), how would Doug or other politicians react?

Instead of destroying men like me and propping criminals who hate Canada, they should perhaps recruit me and ask my opinion. I've literally spoken to 10s of thousands of Americans in my lifetime, not including online interactions.

As a guy who rose from poverty to awards in university and the corporate world, I understand both sides of the issue. Trump is at his best when he is the working mans billionaire. If he loses that, he loses his legacy in my opinion. He clearly understands game theory and the objective of these ads. The same approach China used and they got whacked with 150% tariffs,
