It looks like all the sports pundits who were blasting the Mavs for trading Luka to the Lakers have all jumped on the bash bus and blaming his horrible defense for the Lakers loss. My take is the Lakers were the fakers, Lebron looked like a 40 year old and it wasn't Luka's fault that Rudy Gobert destroyed them in the paint with 25 points and 24 rebounds. (Wow!) IMO Luka's biggest problem continues to be his poor conditioning and injuries. The Lakers need to move on from the Lebron era, he's done. It's Luka's team and they are lucky to have him.

The Lakers are a year away.. they had Lebron basically playing center. They had no length and size, and in the NBA that’s a death sentence.

I’d imagine the Lakers will draft and sign multiple 6’10”+ players who are athletic and can defend.

As for Luka, he’s got certain skills that are elite, and the Lakers need to have pieces around him and cover his weaknesses (like with Steph Curry)

Exactly. Rudy exposed how soft they were in the paint, he looked like a man playing with boys.

There are some fairly substantive rumors out there that the Lakers are trying to put together a package of players and draft choices to get Giannis A. from Milwaukee.

can't say it was conditioning cuz the coach left him in for 24 minutes of the second half in game 4
