Was the impreachment of President Clinton just?

There are to many posts reponding to my posts and I don't have time to respond to each and every one of them so I'll just state this.

When I saw this thread I couldn't believe someone wanted rehash an event that took place ten years ago.

Ten years ago, I remember coming home. It was late at night. There were friends and family sitting around in the living room. Someone told me they were going to impeach the president. I asked why, someone replied it was because Monica gave Bill a blow job. When I heard that I thought everyone was playing a joke on me.

To prove to me that it was not a joke, they turned on the television. That's when I saw some old fart screaming, "it's not about the sex it's about the lie." I think the old fart's head exploded.

When you lie, you have to have something to lie about, but nobody wanted to talk about what the lie was about, only that he lied period. There are posters here whom don't even care if Clinton lied about what he had for breakfast, all that mattered is he lied.

This poll didn't convince me that any of you gave a dead rat's ass about the lie, it was more that you hated Clinton. That's all it was and you flushed 70 million dollars down the drain for nothing.

Clinton went on to finish his term in office, but 6 Republicans resigned from office, because a pornographer paid money to expose the hypocrites. If that pornographer didn't stick his neck out, those six Republican hypocrites would have stayed and voted against Clinton.

The reason I brought up religion in one of my posts was because there were 15 votes saying impeachment was justified and just 1 vote that said it wasn't. The religion post I made was an attempt to shake the bush and see if any religious fanatic comes out. I can understand a religious fanatic okaying 70 million dollars going down the drain for no other reason than to get at someone they hate, but I can't understand a secular person, whom admits to their own imperfection wanting to drop 70 million dollars over a blow job.

I don't believe for one second that those whom voted for impeachment, holds the same strict standard to themselves, a standard so strict that lying about what one had for breakfast calls for the worst punishment that one can dish out.

Nope, those votes that impeachment is justified is all to phony, because none of you can come off believeable that you never lied in your life. Grand Jury or not, getting at someone for lying about what they had for breakfast is equivalent to scrapping your finger under the rim of the toilet bowl hoping you will find shit underneath your fingernail.

If you have a problem with the poll, talk to Jennifer. Digging up old bones seems to be her thing.

As for what the impeachment was about, you haven't gotten after all these years, and I don't expect you to. Clinton lied about a hell of a lot more than a blowjob, problem is in this situation he LIED UNDER OATH. Anybody that knowingly lies under oath has committed a crime. When Clinton wagged his finger and lied, that was just being his dasterdly self. When he lied under oath, he committed a crime. It's that simple, yet you choose to complicate the issue. You do what all Liberals and most Democrats do, you point a finger of accusation at everyone else. Nothing new.

I haven't seen anywhere on this thread where anyone has said they have never lied. In fact, I stated that if you were to start a poll asking the question, you would have 100% answer of "Yes."

The way the Grand Jury works is like this, if you are asked about what you had for breakfast and you answered Cherrios, but a video camera proved that you actually had Wheaties, you can get convicted for lying even though it's not a crime to eat Cherrios or Wheaties for that matter.

I knew someone whom got hauled into a Grand Jury. She said she had sex with someone and the Grand Jury didn't believe her. Whether she had sex or she didn't, it doesn't matter because having sex or not isn't a crime. She got nine years just for that stupid lie. This hit close to home. The reason she was even in the Grand Jury was because a police chief wanted to get back at her.

The Grand Jury can be used and abused like anything else. I see it being abused when you incarcerate someone over lying about a non crime.

Use the Grand Jury to investigate a crime, but don't use it as retaliation and I find the case of that someone I knew and Clinton to be identical. The Grand Jury was just being abused for retalitation and nothing more.

Look bonehead! I would wager that most, if not all of us, can say without hesitation that we've never committed perjury. I can't understand why you keep ignoring the fact that Clinton committed perjury and keep focusing on his other lies that were neither perjury nor criminal. He wasn't impeached for looking into the cameras and telling all of us "I did not have sex with that woman". He was impeached for committing perjury while under oath at official judicial hearings.
