First we were told the building rooftop from which Crooks shot an AR-15 was "not in the perimeter." Then we were told that actual DHS "security" were INSIDE the building when it happened.

I submit that it was indeed, a DHS from inside the building who hit Trump's ear with a real sniper rifle, and the sound of that shot was the "signal" for Crooks to start shooting the AR....
