Warm weather trip in March

Looking for a 3 or 4 day location near or in California that I'll find sun.
Took a cruise to Mexico, rained every day.
Does anyone know of a nice resort that may have sunny days to enjoy.
We can drive from Sacramento area, or fly
I'm wanting a affordable trip. I haven't won the PCH yet.
Would love a beach, lake or ocean

Yikes, CA beaches are too cold in summer, I couldn't imagine winter.
