Although I generally disfavor straight party line voting, I think that the GOP House Members who voted against the Big Beautiful Bill deserve criticism for their "no" votes. Unlike regular bills, this omnibus bill contained a number of elements which are essential to the Trump/GOP agenda which was approved by voters in the last election. Furthermore, failure to pass this bill would have resulted in a massive tax increase that would have crippled US economic expansion.

Given the gravity of its failure, voting against this bill for picayune disagreements with specific provisions amounted to little more than political grandstanding for personal benefit. If these members are so opposed to the entire bill, why didn't they join with Democrats to sponsor their own bill? The GOP doesn't need any more RINOs in its ranks.

$3 trillion of new debt is not picayune. But the Dems are no more willing to rein in spending than the GOP is. If they were, then those GOP House members probably would have joined with them. As would I.

I vote the candidate/candidates that reflect my morals and social beliefs. I believe that all people regardless of their race, religion and sexual orientation are equal. I see Antisemitism, Bigotry, Racism, .Homophobia as learned behavior. I don't believe it wrong to help those that need my help. I believe it wrong to deliberately hurt people of different color or religion or sexual orientation..

What used to be called the Republican Party is full of bigots, racists, antisemites, misogynist and homophobic assholes. They take great and lasting joy in illegally deporting American Citizens They love in forcing Mothers to give up children at gun point. They claim to be so-called, "Christians". But they daily exhibit behavior that does not reflect that belief. They support a convicted felon who called on them create a violent insurrection. His followers erected a Gallows on January 6, 2020 for purposes of hanging elected officials, that is hardly behavior of a so-called "Christian". They openly support creating a fascist state.

Any party that embraces these behaviors is NOT my party of choice. Anyone and everyone giving yet another unneeded tax cut to the richest one percent at the expense of helping those in need is wrong. Cutting funding for research infants and children with heart problem is NOT a "Christian Act".

Right now the single greatest threat to our country is NOT Undocumented People, it a man who stood the in Helsinki and sided Russian Communist Dictator. This same individual called the Men and Women who gave their lives in defense of American Democracy, 'Suckers and Losers". He slashes budget of Veterans Administration, the very organization created to support and take care of veteran who served their country. He cheated on of his wives. He slept a porn actress while his wife was pregnant with his son. This man does not deserve praise. He a traitor and deserter.

You create debt by cutting taxes. But you idiots don't understand this simple reality. If you taxed the rich instead of giving them breaks all the time, the debt would be reduced. That, along with paying living wages which would reduce people needing government assistance. The same thing applies to eradicating racism and sexism, which makes people unemployed and underpaid. As long as these things continue, this country will lose money, and no amount of cutting is going to stop it from happening.
