This is an interesting one.

An underwater volcano that's about to erupt released millions of giant skate eggs into the ocean.

The eggs are 20" long and thrive on the volcanic heat.

Damn, I hate hooking a big Skate/Ray when surf fishing....Once it digs-in there goes your terminal tackle.

I caught some sort of Ray once close in where it could not dig-in (the surf kept it on the move) that was damn near as big as my truck hood.
