Virginis's Gov. Youngkin orders flags to be raised to full-staff for Inauguration day

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) – Gov. Glenn Youngkin has ordered all flags to be raised to full-staff in Virginia for Inauguration Day.

In an Order sent out Saturday, Jan. 18, Youngkin ordered that all flags be raised to full-staff the morning of Jan. 20, in recognition of the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States.

Flags will be lowered again, the day after Inauguration Day, and will remain lowered until Jan. 28.

The church across the way put their flags at full staff this morning.

I guess Youngkin decided the common sense thing to do would be to split the difference.

it was already changed. Since Monday is a federal holiday and Inauguration Day, by order of the Speaker of the House, flags at the US capitol will be flown at full staff on Monday and then and additional day at the end of the 30 days in President Carter's memory. I heard that about two days ago on Fox News.
