Veterans Day observations will occur Friday, Nov. 10, since the holiday falls on a Saturday. That means closings and service changes throughout the D.C. region.

Town offices and the banks will be closed. No trash pick-up and the dump is closed..

I don't care for Friday holidays as that's my trash pick-up day.....They came on Wednesday this week instead.

Texas Roadhouse and my favorite....Firebirds, where you have them. Firebirds lets the vet order an entire meal of whatever they want off the menu and its free.

Commerce is open. Most other things closed today. Our parade is Sunday. Our area prefers Sunday parades to be less headache as nothing much else happens downtown on Sundays.
