Useless (criminal) federal employees

You gotta say hooray for the federal shutdown when you see stuff like this. A high ranking EPA employee named John C. Beale is expected to plead guilty to defrauding the federal government of close to a million dollars in salary and bonuses (bonuses?) when he claimed his frequent absences from the job over 12 years were a result of his part time employment in the.....CIA. The EPA never checked. Also Beale falsely claimed that he suffered from malaria as a result of his time in Vietnam and he was furnished a special parking place. The EPA never checked.

What does a EPA "senior policy adviser" actually do and why didn't his alleged no show job affect the gigantic EPA bureaucracy? The actual purpose of a federal bureaucracy is to get bigger and get more taxpayer funding. The mission is just a bull shit political ploy. It didn't matter that another senior policy manager was paid a million dollars for 12 years work and it didn't matter if he didn't show up.
