After the Chinese have already bought-up a great deal of acreage in the vicinity of US military bases...

It looks like the Feds have finally gotten their heads out of their a$$e$ in this context and begun to do something about it...

Will they face court challenges regarding Constitutionality?

Will they make it retroactive and force the sale of acreage ALREADY owned by the Chinese?

Does this actually apply to ALL foreigners, or, at least, others, on a selective case-by-case basis... not just the Chinese?

I, for one, am very glad to see this finally materializing, but there are probably a great many 'landmines' to be dealt with...

A good step. Now expand to ALL properties. If no one outside of China can buy a condo in Shanghai, why in the hell can they invest at will in Western nations?

Now the federal government needs to implement "eminent domain" and take back the farmland, giving the foreign agent purchasers reasonable financial compensation.
What is also worrying is that family farms are being taken over via the same method, but to use the land for low-income housing (no doubt to put illegal migrants into them).

I'd go one further and ban foreign ownership of US soil. If you aren't a citizen, you shouldn't be able buy real estate in the US.

Pay them whatever farmland is worth in that state on average but not in that county as prices have been jacked up hoping the chi-coms will by it.

American citizens alone own America. The statist lefties have been attempting through the decades to sell our America to foreigners in an attempt to create their "One World Without Borders" nightmare, which by the way is illegal. Pres.
