US Special Forces Heading to Mexico

I'm seeing this as the Mexican government giving the green light to obliterate the cartels with everything we have to achieve that goal.
It HAS to be.

My guess is they're going to set up coms with the Mexican Federalis and work out scenarios with them for future missions.
They won't have the time to actually train them how to kick down doors and shoot cartel members.
It will just be the start of a anti-cartel operation.

The Americans will come fully armed as part of a mission to train the Mexican Navy’s Infantería de Marina (marine infantry) on conventional and non-conventional types of combat.

The training takes place from Feb. 17 through March 30 at the Luis Carpizo naval facility in the state of Campeche, according to Sen. Alejandro Moreno Cardenas, president of the Mexican Senate’s Naval Ministry Commission."

If I wanted to fck up the cartels I'd send in 502 Infantry Regiment and 2nd Ranger Battalion, along with Team Delta. Or maybe Marines.
But if you wanted to conduct a war you send in 4th I.D., but the locals would claim that's an invasion.
Tanks rolling thru the streets would start a shit-fit.
They probably will conduct a drone operation and end up wacking a bunch of drug dealers.
