I am beginning to get the sense that you don't like Putin.

It's impossible to get into the mind of Putin because it's SICK

It is true that you cannot get into the mind of Putin and also that you can never beat him in a game of chess, but the reason is not that his mind is sick. The reason is because he is a master while you can't even stir each morning until the cops come and roust you.

Putin is anything but a chess master. If he understood strategy, he would never have invaded Ukraine, he would have just kept nibbling around the edges, taking a village here and a road junction there. Enough to weaken Ukraine, but not enough to a rouse the Western Europeans and USA into supporting Ukraine. Russia was large enough and had a big enough military to outlast an Ukraine dependent on its own resources. Now as long as Ukraine retains the will to resist, and the West continues to provide support, Russia can’t win. It’s already destroyed the industrial region it needed to make the invasion pay and even if he wins, the Ukrainian farmers aren’t going to work hard to produce grain for him to steal.
