We should condemn these executions in Myanmar’s brutal military dictatorship, but it sounds hollow coming from the US where are one of only a few to employ the death penalty and while we also refuse to condemn Saudi Arabia for mass executions and murder of journalists

The difference is they execute members of the opposition while here we execute those who commit heinous crimes. Although, I suppose the left would execute Trump or other opposition figures if they could get away with it so you may be right.
