Updated Presidents ranking

Now I like Jimmy Carter, but he wasn't a very good President. How could he get a higher rating the than George W. Oops I missed it. George H.W. Bush did come out higher. Jimmy rated better than Son-Of-A-Bush, because the SOB got us into the war in the middle east on false pretenses. Even Geral Ford did a better job, by the historians, even though he pardoned Nixon. The rest of the list pretty good, I guess. I don't remember enough history to know why Pierce and Buchanon came in below Trump.

I always feel bad for Carter. He gets a bad rap. It's true he was not the greatest president, but he was and still is a good-hearted man. He founded Habitat for Humanity and still volunteers and he's in his late 90s.

They are in an annex of the survey
Republicans don’t trust Historians anyway

Just like they don’t trust Scientists, Healthcare Professionals, Elections, Polls, Weathermen, Educators or anyone else who presents information that doesn’t meet their agenda
Correct.

No it's not "just a matter of opinion". That's what simple Simon's believe.
rye its matter of opinion....these guys sit there and sift through all this shit about these guys and make a list and then they all compare notes and make their final list....some of them may not agree on who is the best but they have to agree on who is....matter of opinion.....

Carter actually worked
Didn’t just put on a hard hat, drive a few nails and leave when the cameras were gone

You are just making shit up
They have set criteria and apply objective measures

FDR is so overrated.

And if you look at these lists you can always see the bias, not necessarily political, but the fact that these historians are alive now and you'll notice the top of the list is almost always comprised of either Founding Fathers (who are glorified) or contemporary presidents that these people actually lived through or were born shortly thereafter and are more aware of their legacy than say the president in 1880.

Please readers read this link ^^^, and it will answer most of the questions on the legitimacy of the survey.

That is a primary problem with 'best president' lists. Historians cannot rate recent presidents, they are outside their expertise there and it is almost impossible to see the forest when you are in the trees. We have no idea how these people will impact future generations.

It does surprise me that anyone places Obama so high, there is almost nothing you can point to as a good reason for it. He is only placed there because he made history by being the first black president.

These "historian" lists always crack me up
They are ridiculous.
Obama.... runs on lowering healthcare insurance and prescription costs... passes massive unAffordable Healthcare act that dramatically increases cost for literally 80% of the population and completely left out big pharma.
Bailed out investment banks while 2.2 million Americans lost their homes... middle class suffered deeply for 6 years while Wall Street and the investor class had record profit years. Wages remained almost completely stagnant his entire Presidency, yet the richer got wealthier during the same years faster and wealthier than any other time in history.... and they put him in the top 10. Imbeciles.

Other than being the first black president, there was nothing "great" about Obama and his administration. These so-called historians probably felt they better place him high or else face the wrath of those that would start barking racism accusations had they ranked him lower.

Notice how criminal trump is almost at the bottom of the list, while President Obama is at the top 10 in history...

Obama's greatest accomplishment was politicizing the IRS, our intelligence agencies, and lastly our military as he purged numerous good officers from it.
That left us with Gen. Milley and other ass sucking syncophants.
