I am so glad that he was able to avoid jail.

If he had been jailed and his crime disclosed, he would have been brutalized by other inmates.

We all agree that falsely yelling "fire" in a theater should be a crime.

But yelling epithets about gender or ethnicity or sexuality should not, in my opinion, result in jail, BUT it should result in something if someone heard it and felt it to be hurtful to him/her.
