july 7 2025 University of Houston professor David McNally proposed renaming his school to "George Floyd University" and abolishing tuition and grades at the Socialism 2025 conference Saturday.
"We would open the university up in such a way that it becomes a resource of the broader community," McNally said. "And I can tell you with great confidence that in the Third Ward of Houston, that means that we will be renamed the George Floyd University."

He pointed out that Floyd grew up in the Third Ward and went to school close to the campus before moving to Minneapolis

With CUNY, the brightest and most capable students earn a coveted slot in the McCauley School, where tuition is free. It is an added bonus to be able to say, on one’s resume, that he or she graduated from Thr McCauley School at CUNY.

SAME HERE. The dumbest and least capable students will be assigned to The George Floyd School within the U of Houston. It will also be free, but unlike the one at CUNY, students don’t have to attend class since there are no grades. And then employers will find out that they “graduated” from the non-college section of U of Houston, and not touch any of them with a 10-foot pole.
