I’d just like to point out that in 2005, every Jew living in Gaza was forcibly removed from their homes, and the entire population was transferred to other areas. This was not welcomed by the people who lived there. Most were forced out at barrel of IDF rifles.
Some had lived there for a few years. Others, for decades. And others still, descended from families who had lived in the area for centuries and longer.
That was a forced population transfer, and due to it being solely and exclusively people who were Jews, it could and should be called an ethnic cleanse.
Interestingly and completely unsurprisingly, there was no one single United Nations vote of condemnation against the state of Israel for this action.
